Growing up in the 1980s, my idea of the future was shaped by the analog, apocalyptic worlds of films like Star Wars, Alien, and Back to the Future. Although I consciously tried to move away from that imagery, I still wanted to preserve its raw essence in the typeface. The result is a deliberately imperfect and unsettling font: bold, broken, and uneven. A central challenge was finding the right balance between individual letterforms and the overall texture of the typeface. The process involved digitizing, cutting, scanning, and reintegrating the letters, while carefully maintaining the bulky, raw qualities they had in my sketchbook. Mentored by Marie Lusa.

The Bizarre Beta
A calm sage is on a pale mesa near a silent sea. Each case has a clear sign and a nice echo rises as a gentle mist laps along the space. A magic line appears as sages align simple shapes in a calm plan. Faint gleams chase a calm pace and inspire a sense easy. A long session can help a person regain inner calm and see no angles. A select clan can imagine a save escape and sense a pure signal. A calm angel sails in a pale haze as a serene moon gloves. A simple scene can ease a tense mind and inspire a gentle reply.

A deliberately imperfect and disturbing display typeface. Bold, broken, and uneven letters that maintain bulky, raw letterforms from the sketchbook.
