1. Who we are

Nomad Type is a type foundry. We design fonts and sell licences to use them. You can reach us at mail@nomad-type.com.

2. Licences

When you buy from us, you buy a licence to use a font in a certain way.

We offer Desktop, Web and Desktop + Web licences, each in three tiers: Individual, Studio (up to 5 users) and Company (up to 20 users). App licences and larger licences are available on request.

The full licence terms are in the Nomad Type End User Licence Agreement (EULA), which is included in every download. The EULA is part of these terms. If the two ever differ on how a font may be used, the EULA applies. For an overview, see our licensing page.

3. Prices and payment

The price of each licence is shown before you pay. Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to the payment provider. We never see or store them.

After your purchase, an invoice or receipt is sent to you by email.

4. Delivery

Fonts are digital files, so nothing is shipped. Once your payment goes through, the font files are emailed to you automatically at the address you used at checkout, usually within a few minutes. You receive a ZIP file that includes the EULA. Your invoice or receipt is sent in a separate email.

If nothing has arrived within 24 hours, please check your spam folder and then write to mail@nomad-type.com.

5. Cancellations and refunds

Fonts are digital files that are delivered immediately and can be copied. For that reason, a purchase can't be cancelled or refunded once the files have been delivered.

If a file you received doesn't open or is damaged, write to us and we'll send you a working copy.

6. Age

To buy a licence you must be 18 or older, or be buying on behalf of a business.

7. Liability

The fonts are provided as is, without any warranty. Please make sure a font suits your project before you buy it. Trial fonts are available for exactly that.

Nomad Type is not liable for any damage, direct or indirect, that comes from using the fonts or this website. If we are ever found liable, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the licence.

8. Privacy

What we collect

• When you request trial fonts: your name and email. The form sends them to our mailbox through EmailJS.
• When you buy a licence: your name, email and billing country, plus your company name and VAT or tax ID if you give them. We receive these from the payment provider.
• When you browse the site: we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.

What we use it for

To deliver your font files, issue invoices, keep a record of your licence, and answer your questions.

How it is stored

Emails and records are kept in Google Workspace. Card details are never stored by us.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data. We only share it with the providers we need to process payment, delivery and invoicing.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data by writing to mail@nomad-type.com. Records we have to keep for tax purposes are kept for as long as required.

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
