The idea behind this project was to experiment with a more tangible approach rather than relying solely on common design software (curves and Bezier points). My concept was to create a typeface that embodies both human and computer characteristics. Starting with Helvetica as a reference point, I deliberately went off course, resulting in a reversed-contrast quadrospaced typeface with short ascenders and descenders, giving it a distinctive monospaced feel. The technique involved drawing with a pen on parchment paper, followed by scanning, digitizing, printing, and redrawing to maintain a hand-drawn aesthetic that highlights the pen strokes. During this process, I also developed a two-layered version to further emphasize the dual nature of the design. Created during a workshop led by Jérémy Landes.
